Battle Axe, Silver

Pendant shaped as a Dane axe.

In the sagas there’s a giant eagle

perched on top of the world tree, Yggdrasil.

Under the tree, gnawing on the roots is the

serpent dragon Nidhögg. They hate each other

and the squirrel Ratatoskr carry insults in between them.

The pattern depicts a battle between

the eagle and the serpent dragon.
